Aquascape 3000 Pump
|
Aquascape Pumps are built to run 24/7 and are new and improved for 2005!
Aquascape Designs Pumps Feature:
- Flame resistant thermoplastic polymer motor end cap
- Glass filled thermoplastic polymer wet end
- High efficiency air cooled motor
- Double mechanical seal with outboard silicone carbide faces
- Corrosion resistant stainless Steel motor end bells, motor housing and hardware
Aquascapes
redesigned the seal/shaft interface for 2005, which provides you with
the most durable, heat and abrasion resistant mechanical seal money can
buy! Double mechanical seals. Aquascapes Designs’ horizontal pumps
utilize an industrial grade double mechanical seal in a non-toxic
mineral oil cooled chamber. The outboard seal faces are long life
silicone carbide material, which is a premium seal of the more commonly
used, less expensive carbon ceramic seals found in most sump pumps.
All
pumps in the Aquascape Designs’ product line are specifically designed
to support the demanding requirements for 24 hour/7days/week operating
condition of a water garden. Continuous operation heightens the
importance of proper pump selection to minimize power consumption yet
deliver enough flow to produce the natural sights and sounds of a
beautiful water feature.
Aquascape Designs had experienced the
use of vertical pumps for years and found themselves frustrated by the
fact that they just aren’t right for the water garden industry. High
profile vertical pump designs work well for intermittent use as a sump
pump, but left something to be desired when using them in a water
garden skimmer. So Aquascape Designs went back to the drawing board
and designed a family of pumps that are exclusively designed for use in
a skimmer. The low profile design allows the pump to easily fit below
the skimmer filter mat. The performance flow rate and head
capabilities across the Aquascape Designs Pump line provide a wide
selection of pumps to meet your water garden project requirements.
Motors
on the Aquascape Designs product line are matched with the impeller to
provide optimum efficiency and solids handling capability. This
balance between motor efficiency and robustness of a solids handling
impeller provides the best operating cost and non-clogging pump
performance. Additionally, every Aquascape Designs Pump comes
protected with a thermal switch to protect the motor from any upset
conditions that produce overheating.
Aquascape Designs’
horizontal design maximizes the service life of the pump by minimizing
the wear and tear on the internal parts. This is why the vast majority
of pumps and electric motors sold in the world are of the horizontal
design. The critical load created in the pump’s volute is applied in a
direction perpendicular to the shaft. In other words, all forces are
acting in a direction much like the bearings of a wheel.
Vortex
solids handling impeller – Aquascape Designs wants a pond owner to
enjoy their pond and not have to constantly maintain it. Pumps with
screened intakes are a maintenance nightmare… even when housed in a
skimmer! The horizontal solids handling capabilities of these pumps
reduce maintenance, allowing debris to be passed through the pump
volute.

Garbage - Lasted only 13 months. Why spend the money on this overpriced pump. Use a little more electricity and get a cheaper one.

This pump is horrible. I had it installed in my waterfall and it broke down in less that 1 year of service.
|
I'm lucky mine made it 2 years before dying. It only had 1 year waranty. Aquascape only deals with wholesalers so good luck getting any help.

This is a lousey pump. Within 4 months is slowly started dying. It seems that the pump gets overheated. How can it get overheated when it is turned off and has rested for an hour and a half?! (We turn the pump off to feed the fish). The pump will not come on after resting an hour and a half. We called the contractor who installed it and had difficulty getting any help. After threatening to sue, he came one day and did something but we have no idea what, it just started working again. Now another 4 months later, the pump will not come on again. At first, the pump would come on after being pluged back in after a few minutes but as the days go by the length of time for it to come back on increases. We have called the contractor again and it has been 4 days and no return call yet and now the pump is competely inoperable.
Since we had our pond installed by a contractor, AquaScape will not talk to us. This is very difficult to leave out explicatives in writing this review in the likelihood of it being banned from posting I chose to keep it clean to let the buyer beware.
If there was a 0 rating to choose I would have chosen 0 stars. P.S. any one know of a good replacement? (Please note that this contractor was not Pond Appeal)

What a waste. 3rd pump in 3 years. I don't understand how they stay in business. I have never seen such a useless product in my life.
