Owner Cory
I had a dream! I had designed and landscaped several homes for friends and family since 1997. In the fall of 2002, I began designing and creating my dream. That same year, the home I purchased included a small pond that desperately needed my help. With a little TLC and lots of homework, the pond was healthy again! Since then, I have made the pond bigger since we all know that size does matter, and have plans for a second pond that is even larger yet. I’m beginning to wonder where my dogs will play but there will still be some grass area. If not, then they’ll just have to play with the fish in their environment.
I also created a 65’ stream in my front yard that looks like it was pulled right out the mountains. I got to meet a lot of the neighbors while we were building it. My neighborhood has a number of walkers that pass by my home. They would all stop to see what the big pile of rocks that were dumped in my front yard was for. Now, people that weren’t walkers before have even walked down to see what I did. Of course, a couple of people even drove down and stopped in front of my home.
Along with my passion for landscape design and the joy of seeing the job through to completion, my all time hobby of fish aquariums complemented my dream of creating Pond Appeal, LLC. This way, I could build “Aquariums” in the form of ponds on the grand scale that I enjoy.
I finally transitioned from my full time job as a Systems Support Engineer to full time pond builder in the summer of 2006 and I am having more fun then I thought possible. I really enjoy the happiness I see on my customers’ faces when they see their completed pond for the first time.

Since coming to work for Cory in January 2006, I have kissed goodbye to the stress associated with most jobs. We have an abnormal relationship as employer & employee. I don’t look at him as my “boss” (even though he is), but I look at him as family.
I graduated with a degree in accounting in 1996. So, after 10 years in the rat race it has been a wonderful experience to have a job that is not like a job, but a joy to go to everyday.
I love the communication with the customers and seeing the pictures of their completed projects. To hear and see the joy their new pond brings to them, puts a smile on my face. It is very gratifying to work for a company that has changed our customer’s lives in a better way.
I still sit behind a desk most of the time, because someone has to keep Cory in line. But I do have the opportunity to go out from time to time and help with outdoor jobs. Trust me I am not afraid to get dirty. You can’t be, to be in this line of work.
I am still learning a lot about ponds and pond products, but you can call me anytime with questions you may have. If I can not answer your question, I will find out for you. It will be my pleasure to be able to help you.
